I was born and raised in the Philippines and moved here in the United States four years ago. I love hiking and sky diving. While pursuing my career in Computer Science, I taught myself how to build web applications that mirrors my passion and skills in technology including the basics of best practices that promotes agile software development.

Built with:
- HTML5 - provides layout for the page and follows good search engine optimization practice (SEO)
- CSS3 - provides design for the portfolio. CSS' media queries ensures that the page is responsive with the help of flexbox and grid
- Javascript ES6 - brings life to the portfolio by making the transitions work along with modals
Highlights
- Formspree - email service that generates a unique and secure endpoint for the contact form, thus prevents security risks of using just a pure HTML mailing.
- Big Three - built with pure HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
- Heroku - hosted by Heroku with a purchased custom domain.

A CRUD web application
Built with:
- HTML5 - used to structure the website along with Embedded Javascript (EJS) for templating.
- CSS3 - added custom designs on top of Bootstrap.
- Javascript - used for API connection with MapBox for mapping and NPS for real campground data, local storage for pagination and cookies for user preferences such as light and dark mode.
- Node and Express - played a role in the backend for user authentication, security, and establishing database connection along with RESTful routes, where users can post campgrounds and leave reviews along with other CRUD functionalities.
- Mongo - a NoSql database used for establishing one to many relationships in the project such as a user can have may campgrounds and reviews, etc.
Highlights
- MapBox - API that displayed the locations of campgrounds currently displayed to the users.
- Pagination - limits the amount of data loaded to users to save running time rather than loading hundreds of campgrounds in one go.
- Reviews - users can leave reviews to campgrounds and they can also decide to delete it.
- Flash Message - provides immediate feedback to users when logging in/out, registering, creating and deleting campgrounds or reviews, as well as any errors such as wrong credentials when logging in.

- HTML5 - used to structure the website along with Embedded Javascript (EJS) for templating.
- CSS3 - added custom designs on top of Bootstrap.
- Javascript - created EJS helpers to separate a lot of templating logic as possible from the HTML file.
- Node and Express - played a role in the backend for user authentication, security, and establishing database connection along with RESTful routes where users can post and leave comments along with other CRUD functionalities.
- Mongo - a NoSql database used for establishing one to many relationships in the project such as a user can have may campgrounds and reviews, etc.

- Google Authentication - users can register using their Google account via google oauth2 strategy.
- Post's privacy - users can choose to their story as public or private.

- Comments - users can leave a comment to other user's public posts.
- Reactions - users can leave reactions (like, heart, haha) to other's public posts.
